Category : Announcements
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak LSBAE has adjusted its work policies to protect the health and safety of our staff and licensees. Our LSBAE staff staff continue to work remotely.
We encourage you to e-mail the office with inquiries. While we are constantly monitoring phone traffic, e-mail is the most efficient way to reach us:
Kathy Hillegas – khillegas@lsbae.com
Tyson Ducote – tducote@lsbae.com
Holly Lavigne – hlavigne@lsbae.com
If you need to speak with a staff member, please call the office and leave a voice mail message. We will return your call as quickly as possible.
We continue to accept and process applications through our Licensing Portal.
Personal/Individual License Application/Reinstatement
You can complete an application to reinstate a license by logging into the Licensing Portal. All reinstatement applications require that you submit documentation showing completion of the required HSW continuing education hours. That information can be e-mailed to hlavigne@lsbae.com once your application has been submitted.
As is normal business practice, initial and reciprocal applications will not be able to be completed until we have received your NCARB transmittal.
Firm Applications/Reinstatement
- To apply for a new firm registration, please complete a Firm Application Request Form and forward to hlavigne@lsbae.com.
- To reinstate an existing firm registration, please log in to the Licensing Portal and select “Firm” registration.
- You will find other forms related to firm registration are available on our website:
At this time, we do not anticipate any delays in processing applications once they have been submitted.
Candidates Testing in the ARE
At this time, local Prometric test centers are operating at “full capacity”, however, that is subject to change pending local guidelines. Following the recommended guidance of public health experts, Prometric has invoked its COVID-19 Safety Plan, which requires them to notify any individuals who may have been exposed to the virus while at a Prometric test center based on the timing of when a known infected individual was present. Prometric will notify candidates directly if they are impacted.
Upon confirmation of a COVID-19 infected individual at a test center, Prometric will close that location for no less than 48 hours to complete a deep cleaning of the test center. Candidates with appointments scheduled during the test center closure will be contacted by Prometric to reschedule their disrupted appointment.
As Prometric test centers return to normal operations in compliance with local guidelines, please be aware that test centers’ social distancing requirements may vary depending on location. Some test centers are now “fully open,” which may mean a return to normal occupancy, where social distancing of six feet may not be maintained or required.
To find out if local test centers are operating at “full capacity,” please visit the Prometric Site Openings page, and look at the far right tab under “operational status.” If a candidate is uncomfortable testing without guarantee of social distancing, they may defer their test or reschedule to a test center operating at limited capacity.
NCARB has granted a fifteen (15)-month extension to the rolling clock to all passing ARE scores that were valid as of August 25, 2020. Candidates do not need to take any additional action to receive this extension.
We wish you and yours health and safety in these unusual times.
