COVID19 Update

Category : Announcements

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and to be good stewards in “flattening the curve” of this treacherous virus, LSBAE has adjusted its work policies to protect the health and safety of our staff and licensees. Effective immediately, LSBAE staff will be working remotely. Over the past few years, we have developed a strong business continuity plan and expect the execution of that plan to run smoothly.

We encourage you to e-mail the office with inquiries. While we are constantly monitoring phone traffic, e-mail is the most efficient way to reach us:

Kathy Hillegas – khillegas@lsbae.com

Tyson Ducote – tducote@lsbae.com

Holly Lavigne – hlavigne@lsbae.com

If you need to speak with a staff member, please call the office and leave a voice mail message. We will return your call as quickly as possible.

We continue to accept and process applications through our Licensing Portal.

Personal/Individual License Application/Reinstatement

You can complete an application to reinstate a license by logging into the Licensing Portal. All reinstatement applications require that you submit documentation showing completion of the required HSW continuing education hours. That information can be e-mailed to hlavigne@lsbae.com once your application has been submitted.

As is normal business practice, initial and reciprocal applications will not be able to be completed until we have received your NCARB transmittal.

Firm Applications/Reinstatement

At this time, we do not anticipate any delays in processing applications once they have been submitted.

Candidates Testing in the ARE

With the health and safety of test takers and staff in mind, Prometric has decided to temporarily close all test centersin the United States and Canada until May 31, 2020. Prometric may be contacting you directly via email with more information about test center closures. You should log into your NCARB Record to reschedule existing appointments at no cost. At this time, NCARB is recommending that you schedule for the fall or early winter.

Additionally, NCARB is working to grant a nine-month extension to the rolling clock for nine-month rolling clock to all passing ARE scores that were valid as of March 1, 2020. They expect that all extensions should be applied by the end of April. Candidates do not need to take any additional action to receive this extension.

Given the fluidity and uniqueness of this situation, we ask that you remain patient with us as we adjust to a temporary shift in our operating model.  The events of the past days and weeks have been unprecedented. We will continue to monitor and navigate this rapidly changing situation with the rest of the world and will make appropriate adjustments as necessary.

We wish you and yours health and safety in these unusual times.
