The amendments to LAC 46:I.Chapter 22, Louisiana Architecture Education and Research Fund, modernize and clarify the existing rules governing proposals for and use of awards from the Fund. The amendments allow proposals to include digital deliverables such as electronic publications, instructional videos, online modules, or open-source resources (LAC 46:I.2201); clarify that failure to submit the final report will result in forfeiture of the remaining 20 percent of the award and ineligibility for future awards unless good cause is shown (LAC 46:I.2211); provide that force majeure events, including natural disasters and public health emergencies, are an acceptable basis for excusing failure to use award funds within the academic year received (LAC 46:I.2211); clarify that awards may be used for expenses including digital infrastructure and subscriptions but not for food or beverages (LAC 46:I.2213); and establish a deadline of September 1 of the fiscal year immediately following the award year for submission of the final report (LAC 46:I.2215). The amendments were published in the June 20, 2026, issue of the Louisiana Register and are effective as of the date of publication.
