Lsbae Web Accessibility Policy
Accessibility Statement
The Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners (LSBAE) is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for everyone. This includes ensuring that individuals with disabilities have full and equal access to the information, services, and resources offered through our website and digital platforms.
We continually work to improve the accessibility of our digital services in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act of 2008, and Louisiana Policy and Procedure Memorandum 74 (PPM 74), as well as guidance issued by the U.S. Department of Justice.
LSBAE welcomes feedback on the accessibility of our website and is committed to responding promptly to requests for assistance or alternative formats.

Content Standards
LSBAE requires that all public-facing digital content meets at minimum the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.1 Level AA and strives to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA
wherever possible. These standards apply to, but are not limited to:
- Website content and navigation
- Online forms and applications
- Documents and PDFs
- Multimedia content
Archived Content
Certain older or historical content may be archived in accordance with state and federal guidance. Archived content is maintained in clearly labeled sections and may not fully meet current accessibility standards. LSBAE will provide accessible alternatives upon request where required.
Conformance Efforts and Ongoing Improvements
LSBAE has conducted a comprehensive accessibility audit and remediation initiative covering its primary website and related digital services. This policy applies to the following LSBAE digital properties:
- Associated public-facing digital content managed by LSBAE
This effort included:
- A third-party WCAG 2.2 Level AA accessibility audit conducted in September 2025
- Manual and automated testing of key user flows and site components
- Content updates, structural improvements, and remediation of identified issues
- Implementation of an accessibility action plan
- Publishing of public-facing web accessibility statement and policy aligned with the State of Louisiana Web Accessibility Roadmap and published on our website
Based on this work, LSBAE has made substantial improvements to address and resolve identified accessibility barriers and remediate these as part of an ongoing accessibility
program. Accessibility is treated as a continuous process, and LSBAE regularly reviews and updates content to maintain compliance.
Responsibilities, Authority & Approval
Accommodation Requests and Feedback
LSBAE welcomes feedback on the accessibility of its website and digital services. Individuals who encounter accessibility barriers or who require reasonable accommodations are encouraged to contact the Accessibility Coordinator. LSBAE will respond to accessibility requests in a timely manner and engage in an interactive process to provide reasonable
accommodations where appropriate.
Vendor and Technology Standards
LSBAE does not rely solely on automated overlay tools to achieve accessibility. Vendors and third-party service providers engaged by LSBAE are expected to support WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance and accessible digital design practices.
Ongoing Monitoring
LSBAE conducts periodic reviews and audits of its digital content to ensure continued accessibility compliance. Accessibility considerations are integrated into content updates,
new features, and future technology implementations.

LSBAE has designated an Accessibility Coordinator responsible for overseeing digital accessibility compliance, training, monitoring, and accommodation requests. To contact:
