CONTINUING EDUCATION
The Louisiana State Board of Architectural Examiners rules requires that an architect complete a minimum of twelve (12) CEHs in health, safety and welfare (HSW) each calendar year (January — December). See LAC 46:I. §1315. D.2. These rules apply to all architects practicing architecture in this state. All architects must show compliance with the educational requirements of these rules as a condition for renewing registration.
In the event you are audited a licensee will be required to provide documentation of the HSW courses completed. This can be done by submitting an AIA Transcript, or by tracking courses taken on the LSBAE CE Audit Log.
The board has adopted an official list of approved topics to accomplish the purpose of these rules.
Upon written request, the board will review a continuing education program prior to its presentation, provided all of the necessary information to do so is submitted in accordance with these rules. Such information shall be submitted at least 30 calendar days in advance of the program.
CONTINUING EDUCATION PRE-APPROVAL APPLICATION
